Using TrOWL in Protégé

You can now use TrOWL in Protégé 4.0.x and 4.1.x. Simply put TrOWLCore.API2.jar or TrOWLCore.API3.jar (for 4.0.x or 4.1.x respectively) into Protégé’s plugins folder. When you restart Protégé, TrOWL Quill and TrOWL REL will appear as options in the Reasoner menu (see the following figure).

  • TrOWL Quill supports reasoning services in OWL2-QL, as well as scalable conjunctive query answering for OWL2-DL (based on semantic approximations).
  • TrOWL REL supports reasoning services in OWL2-EL, as well as scalable TBox and ABox reasoning services for OWL2-DL (based on syntactic approximations).
